The Natural History of the North-east

A number of papers have been produced that discuss various aspects of the natural history of Bennachie and its immediate environs. However, the natural and man-made landscapes of Britain are largely indivisible and have been for millennia. Dealing with the ‘natural histories’ inevitably involves an understanding of how those particular landscapes have themselves been shaped by humankind’s presence through time.
